This program provides a knowledge base for people who want to start their own business. Entrepreneurship is woven through the curriculum along with management skills and traditional business practices. Students gain a broad skill set for business and more specifically for new venture creation, team development, and entrepreneurial management. This program objectives are: develop the skills to create and execute a business plan as well as a broad-based understanding the functional fields of business and their interrelationships in complex organizations; identify and analyze economic climate and business trends in a global business context; apply quantitative and behavioral tools of business analysis and decision-making; utilize information technology to improve communication and management decision-making; demonstrate an understanding of the processes in establishing a new business, including obtaining funding and acting ethically within legal and financial parameters; through degree completion, demonstrate the depth of knowledge sought by employers for entry mid-level positions in the business field.

Students for an associate or bachelor’s program must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. ACT or SAT scores are not required. Students for whom English is a second language must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and have their official TOEFL score report. Students with non-U.S. educational credentials must first obtain foreign credentials evaluation from Educational Credential Evaluators. Written permission from a legal guardian is required for admission of a person under legal age.
