This program focuses upon hospitality industry knowledge and key business skills. It is this combination that makes the graduates so highly desired by employers. Opening a small business, such as a restaurant or a meeting planning service, is the goal of many students. Aspiring entrepreneurs should select this specialization to help them plan in advance for the start of their new enterprise. As the range of small business opportunities is vast, students have great flexibility in choosing a set of three courses that best fits his or her needs. Choices include offerings from both the Management and Marketing departments where students will be able to use their individual concepts as the focus of much of the coursework.

Applicants should have completed or are about to complete their secondary school education (high school) and have not taken any college or university coursework after finishing their secondary education. Applicants educated outside the US, regardless of their legal status, should have a proof of English proficiency. Applicants can prove their English proficiency by submitting any of the tests below: minimum TOEFL score of 80, no section lower than 17 (internet based), 213 (computer-based) or 550 (paper based); minimum IELTS score of 6.5; minimum SAT verbal score of 500; minimum ACT score of 18 on the reading section, and 20 on the English section and a minimum Pearson Test of English Academic score of 53.
