This program prepares teachers of technology education for grades K-12 with a Michigan Department of Education K-12 Provisional Certificate qualifying the prospective teacher in areas such as computer-aided design, robotics, manufacturing and other industrial technology subjects. Graduates may also qualify for a vocational endorsement (Temporary Vocational Authorization) by completing 36 hours of directly related technical course work and have two years of occupational experience in employment related to the area of study. Options for cooperative work experience are available to students as partial credit toward that occupational requirement.

Applicants should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 173 (CBT) and 500 (PBT), or MELAB score of 72, or IELTS score of 6.0. ACT or SAT test scores may waive the English proficiency test requirement; the English sub score or critical reasoning sub score must be at least 19 or 430, respectively.
