This program helps students to be prepared to teach physical education pre-kindergarten through grade twelve as well as coach in an area of athletics. It prepares students to serve as strength and conditioning specialists in private, education and athletic settings. Students completing this program will be encouraged to take the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Exam offered by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Students choosing to complete a minor must select one from a discipline appropriate to teacher preparation. Professional Education courses are required for all students.

Applicants graduated from an accredited high school of under or above 21 years of age must meet one of the following criteria: ACT composite score of 21 or higher; or rank in the top 1/3 of high school graduating class; or complete the pre-college curriculum with at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; or have 24 or more transferable college credit hours with at least a 2.0/4.0 cumulative grade point average. The pre-college curriculum should include, four units of English, three units of Math (Algebra I and above taken in grade 9-12), three units of natural science (at least one must be chemistry or physics), and three units of social science. Those who are from a non-accredited high school or home school should possess ACT composite score of 21 or higher. Applicants must also have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent in high school or a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, if they have been transferred from another U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work). They must also demonstrate their English language proficiency by obtaining 520 (paper) or 190 (computer) or 68 (internet) scores in TOEFL; and an overall band of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each band in IELTS.
