Department of Physical Education Mission is to contribute to the general education of students through the unique content and methodology of physical education and sport. To teach basic skills included in a wide range of physical education, sport, and physical fitness activities. To prepare students for careers in physical education, sport administration, sport studies, sport medicine, and related professions. Central Michigan University offers a variety of accommodations in residence halls and on-campus apartments. Some students live in dormitory-style housing called residence halls. Each of the halls is within a 10-minute walk from all classes. Two, three or four students live in a suite with one or two or four bedrooms, a private bathroom and a study and living room. Suites come with all furniture, but students must supply their own sheets, blankets and pillows. All meals are prepared for students and served cafeteria style in a dining commons. Kewadin Village: is a one bedroom apartment there is a double bed, dresser and mirror. In the two and three bedroom apartments, only one bedroom is furnished. All living rooms have a sofa bed, end table and coffee table. These apartments have a community laundry room for the exclusive use of residents. Linens, bedding, shower curtain, lamps, rugs, dishes and other personal articles are not furnished in any of the apartments. There are no storage facilities available other than inside the individual apartments. Northwest Apartments: is a family or faculty/staff apartment there is a double bed, dresser and mirror.
