In this program graduates are prepared to be employed as buyers; manufacturing representatives; showroom managers; product development managers; sourcing specialists; e-merchandisers; department and specialty store managers; restaurant, hotel and club managers; food service directors; catering directors; destination managers; meeting and convention planners; and cruise line hospitality managers.

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
