स्थानबारे जानकारी
This university is a dynamic community of scholars and learners situated on one of the most spectacular college campuses in the country. In 1876, both the university and the state of Colorado were formally established. Forty-four students formed the first class, taught by three instructors. Situated on a 'barren and wind-swept plain', Old Main housed not only the first classrooms, but the president's home, the library, and the janitor’s quarters. As one of 34 U.S. public institutions belonging to the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU) - and the only member in the Rocky Mountain region - it has a proud tradition of academic excellence, with four Nobel laureates and more than 50 members of prestigious academic academies. The university has blossomed in size and quality since the university opened its doors in 1877 - attracting superb faculty, staff, and students and building strong programs in the sciences, engineering, business, law, arts, humanities, education, music, and many other disciplines. Today, with its sights set on becoming the standard for the great comprehensive public research universities of the new century, the university strives to serve the people of Colorado and to engage with the world through excellence in teaching, research, creative work, and service. It offers more than 3,400 courses each year in approximately 150 areas of study. There are 85 academic majors available at the bachelor's level, 70 at the master's level and 50 at the doctoral level.

All residence halls have full-time, professional hall directors, chosen for their solid understanding of college students and residence hall life. Each floor also has a resident advisor (RA), a sophomore or an upper-division student with the experience, knowledge, and training to answer the student's questions and serve as a resource and a liaison to the campus community. Housing and Dining Services provides wired high-speed Internet connectivity to all student units, one jack per unit. Each room also includes a phone jack and cable service.
