This program offers students broad exposure to an understanding of the human past and of those events and forces leading up to the present and contributing to the future. Undergirding these studies is an integration of faith and philosophy with the cognitive knowledge of historical facts. A degree in History may lead to graduate studies in history, theology, law, political science, and administration. A graduate in History may also find employment in administrative and government services, in libraries, public history activities and interpretation, or the many areas in education.

International applicants must be a graduate of a secondary school system or the equivalent and must have sufficient proficiency in the English language so they are able to study at the college level. A minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (pbt), 173 (cbt), or 61 (ibt) or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score of 6 is required. International applicants may also elect to submit an official Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score or American College Testing (ACT) score.
