Students must have a 16 units of high school study including four years each of mathematics and English, and one year each of chemistry and physics. They must possess a grade point average of at least 2.50 for all math courses 217 and above, statistics courses 224 and above, chemistry, computer science , EMA 201, and physics courses 201 and above. International applicants whose native language is not English and who were not educated in an entirely English-speaking country must submit results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 on the paper test, 213 on the computer test, or 80 on the Internet-based test.
