This concentration is designed to prepare graduates for career leadership and management positions in a computer-intensive/automated manufacturing environment. Graduates from this concentration are exposed to courses with specialized technical application in the area of computer-aided design/manufacturing, computer-numeric-control programming (CNC), industrial robotics, automated material handling, electronic control technology, computer-integrated manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and systems integration. Students completing this concentration will develop a focused understanding of manufacturing operations as a “specialist” managerially oriented professional.

Students should have completed high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). The minimum college preparatory subjects are: English (4 units), Mathematics (3 units), Natural Science (2 units with a laboratory component), History/Social Science (2 units) and one unit of U.S. history. Students whose primary language is not English may be required to submit their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results.
