This program provides residents of the Navajo, Hopi, or other American Indian Nations the opportunity to pursue a nursing career. Located in the Navajo Nation in Arizona, this program is the first bachelor of science in nursing program located within an American Indian Nation in the United States.

The Candidates should have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) in prerequisite courses. Please note the minimum GPA of 2.75 does not guarantee admission to the program. Grades in biology courses are particularly emphasized. Research indicates that success in science courses is strongly related to passing the licensure exam. Two reference forms from professional individuals (forms are included in this packet). Proctored HESI A2 Exam results. Evidence of ability to communicate ideas clearly with correct grammar and punctuation in written form on one essay question provided in application and turned in with application. Evidence of Volunteer and Health Care Work experience. Minimum 8 hours each. Completion of all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better.
