This program prepares students for professional careers in accounting and meets the current 120 credit hour educational requirements for taking the NY State CPA exam. It also prepares students for financial and accounting positions in private industry, nonprofit organizations, and city, state, and federal governments. The program provides a general liberal arts and sciences background, a foundation in general business practice, an understanding of accounting concepts and theory.

Students should possess a high school education or equivalent. Students must demonstrate their English proficiency, they should submit scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic format/level test. TOEFL score of 105 out of 120 or an IELTS score of 7 is required. There is no minimum SAT/ACT score or GPA. For reference, the average SAT score is a 1220 (Math & Verbal), the average ACT score is a 26 and the average GPA is an 87%.
