This program will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international business principles as they apply it in a business setting, expertise in a functional area (initially marketing or finance) within traditional business disciplines, appreciation and awareness of foreign cultures and practices in both a business and social environment, knowledge of a second language to conduct business in a foreign country, and practical business experience in an international environment, i.e., the practicum project in the capstone course and possibly an international internship. this program will be some of the most well rounded students because they have likely lived in a foreign country, know a foreign language, worked on international projects, become an expert in a functional business area, and meet the requirements of a Baruch BBA degree. The Department of Marketing and International Business coupled with the Departments of Management, Finance, Law, Political Science and Communications offer a wide variety of courses to meet the specific career orientations of students interested in many facets of the international business process.

The program modules include: MKT 3400 International Business Principles; IBS 4200 Foreign Markets, Cultures, and Institutions; MGT 4880 Management of Multinational Corporations; IBS 5750 International Competitiveness; Three additional courses to be chosen from the following: MKT 4410 International Trade Operations; MKT 4460 International Supply Chain Management; COM 3069 Intercultural Communications; LAW 3111 Law and International Business; POL 3344 International Organizations; IBS 3000 Innovation, Technology and the Global Enterprise; IBS 5350 Special Topics; IBS 5000 Independent Study; Minor in Marketing Required Courses (9 Credits): MKT 3605 Consumer Behavior; MKT 4420 International Marketing; MKT 4700 Business Marketing Management or Minor in Finance Required Courses (9 Credits): FIN 3610 Corporate Finance; FIN 3710 Investments; ECO 3250 International Economics.

Students should possess a high school education or equivalent. Students must demonstrate their English proficiency, they should submit scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic format/level test. TOEFL score of 105 out of 120 or an IELTS score of 7 is required. There is no minimum SAT/ACT score or GPA. For reference, the average SAT score is a 1220 (Math & Verbal), the average ACT score is a 26 and the average GPA is an 87%.
