The CS/MT combined major requires about 75 per-cent of the coursework for each full major. Students are encouraged to explore connections between computer science and music technology. Possibilities include the composition of new musical works based on generative algorithms and/or the development of digital signal processing software for the manipulation of sound.

International applicants must have TOEFL passing score of 223 on the computer-based test, 563 on the paper based test, 84 on the Internet -based test, or a passing score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). This requirement is waived if students SAT critical reading score /ACT equivalent is at least 550.
