This program is for the student interested in becoming a professional interior designer. The professional interior designer is a person qualified by education, experience, and examination to: 1) identify, research, and creatively solve problems pertaining to the function and quality of the interior environment; 2) perform services relative to interior spaces, including programming, design analysis, space planning and aesthetics, using specialized knowledge of interior construction, building systems and components, building codes, equipment, materials and furnishings; and 3) prepare all drawings and documents relative to the design of interior spaces; in order to enhance and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.

The students must have the equivalent of a B average or higher in high school. The SAT and ACT are not required for international students, however the SAT is highly recommended. Test scores are influential not only for admission but also for scholarship consideration. A TOEFL score of 523 (Paper-based exam), 70 (Internet-based exam) or 193 (Computer-based exam) is required. An IELTS score of 6.0 is acceptable.
