This program llows students to specialize in the sub-fields of exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation. The student is able to gain practical experience by completing an internship in a health and fitness related setting. This is an excellent concentration in preparation for ACSM certification as well as graduate school in exercise physiology.

International students are not required to take the SAT or the ACT for standard admission. However, these tests may be required for direct admission and scholarship consideration. Undergraduate students must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 173 (61 Internet-based test), a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum MELAB score of 69. TOEFL, IELTS and MELAB scores are valid for two (2) years from test date. The University of Akron accepts only valid test scores.
