The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics offers a teaching and research program at the cutting edge of the life sciences. Protein structure and function, molecular genetics, and medical, plant and insect biochemistry are areas of primary interest. Over the next few decades these investigations will begin to answer questions about the most basic life processes. The department's cross-disciplinary graduate programs bring together biochemistry with related fields such as medicinal chemistry and molecular and cellular biology.

Residence Life offers a Campus Housing Payment Plan for the fall and/or spring semesters. It allows students to spread rent across three installment payments per semester. There is no charge for enrollment but students must enroll each semester. Full rent charges are the only charges that the Campus Housing Payment Plan includes. Any other charges such as for lost keys or damages, are payable at the time they are billed under the terms of Housing License Agreement.
