The accelerated 14-month Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Program is designed for students who already possess a baccalaureate degree in another field. The program begins in May of each year and continues throughout the year with graduation at the end of the following summer. The 14-month program is fast-paced and intense. The defined curriculum is full-time and requires the student to provide complete attention to the requirements for successful completion. Committed faculty advisors are assigned to each student to facilitate successful completion.

Students will have their courses in Anatomy and Physiology I, Intro to Sociology, Trends in Healthcare Delivery, Cultural Dimensions of Humans and Their Envir, Microbiology, Organic Biochemistry, Pathophysiology, Life Span: A Holistic Approach, Human Interactive Processes, Statistics, Nutrition and Health, Health Assessment Across the Life Span, Nursing Care Provider I, The Childbearing Family, Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family, Research Process in Nursing, Pharmacotherapeutics.

Students must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma with required GPA. Regardless of US residency status, an English proficiency examination is required of all students whose secondary schooling has been outside the US in a country where English is not the principal language. Students who have achieved a grade of B or better in a college-level English Composition course in residence at an accredited US college are exempt from this requirement. English courses that are designated ESL, non-native, or which require a special support component, as well as courses taken outside the US, is not acceptable. A score of 6 or higher is acceptable for our Newark campus in IELTS. Acceptable scores for all schools except the College of Nursing are 550+ on the paper and pencil test or 79+ on the Internet-based test. For College of Nursing applicants, the acceptable scores are 600+ on the paper and pencil test or 100+ on the Internet-based test.
