The gerontological specialty prepares nurses for advanced practice through a focused program of study. Students may choose the following clinical options for specialty role emphasis: nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist.

The University maintains more than 20 residence halls and more than a dozen dining facilities to serve the campus community. The Office of Residence Life and Housing provides students with a variety of housing options including theme halls, a single-sex hall, single rooms, double rooms, supersingle rooms (on a limited basis), and full apartments for one, two, three, and four people. Emory Dining menus emphasize organic, local, natural and sustainable choices. Each residence hall or apartment has unique characteristics and amenities, which allows students to choose the living option that best suits them.
