The University of Hawaii at Manoa, School of Accountancy has launched an innovative master's program that combines a Master's of Accounting (MAcc) with its Executive Accounting Program (EAP).PROGRAM FEATURES: 1. Students can prepare for the US CPA exam and earn a Master's degree at the same time. 2. The Program's flexible structure is such that after successfully completing the EAP courses the students can register and complete the Master's Program in Accountancy without any interruptions. 3. This Program provides students extra opportunities to retake the CPA exam if necessary during their Master's program. he students admitted to this program will take twenty-four (24) credit hours of accounting courses during a six-month period.

The GMAT requirement may be waived for 3/2 Masters of Accounting applicants who have a GPA of 3.4 or better.TOEFL and IELTS:Most applicants whose native language is not English need to submit official scores for either of these tests. Test scores cannot be more than two years old. An international applicant is exempt from the TOEFL, if he or she has earned a bachelor's or advanced degree within the last five years at a regionally accredited or recognized institution in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore or the United Kingdom. * GPA 3.3. GMAT 530 (Verbal: 25, Quantitative: 25, Writing: 3.5). International Students: TOEFL 550/paper-based test or 213/computer-based test (550/213 acceptable but must be tested again by UH English Language Institute).No work experience required. ACC 201 & 202 (Introduction to Managerial & Financial Accounting) must be completed prior to admission

The School of Accountancy within the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting and the Master of Accounting (MAcc) degrees. The undergraduate accounting program provides students with an educational foundation for entry into a wide range of accounting careers and enables students to pursue graduate or advanced professional education. The MAcc program provides advanced education in taxation, financial accounting, and auditing necessary for students to pursue leading positions in public practice, business, not-for-profit organizations, government, and related fields.

The University housing program provides on-campus housing to Manoa students in a variety of living arrangements that include apartments and traditional coed facilities, single and double occupancy rooms, suites and apartment units. The University housing program strives to create an atmosphere conducive to the development of responsible citizens in a democratic community. Specific rules and regulations intended to protect the rights of individuals have been developed by the University administration, residential staff and student leaders. Each resident is responsible to know and observe these rules and regulations. Residents who cannot accept these basic rules for community living or cannot extend consideration for the rights of other residents should evaluate their needs carefully before applying for on-campus housing. Contract releases are not granted for reasons of dissatisfaction with a group living environment. The 2008-2009 Academic Year contract provides housing for the Fall and Spring semesters with prices for traditional doubles starting at $3,497 and apartments units starting at $4,631. Meal plans are handled by a private provider, Sodexho, with prices starting around $1,151 per semester, or $2,302 for the academic year. All applicants should review the assignment terms and priorities for the 2008-2009 academic year.
