The curriculum of these degree programs are based on instruction in epidemiological principles, concepts and methods, with an emphasis on the application of this knowledge. Students are encouraged to include interdisciplinary coursework, independent research, and practical public health experiences within their academic plan.

The students should hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Students should submit the GRE scores. Students should have a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Admissions Committee strongly suggests that an applicant spends time in crafting his/her goal statement. It must be well-written, focused and given thoughtful consideration. It must be appropriate to the program to which the applicant is applying. The goal statement or essay is used by the faculty to determine the best fit for each applicant in the program to which they apply. In addition, the Admissions Committee prefers academic letters of recommendation that can attest to your potential for success in graduate school. All international applicants whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum acceptable score of 565 on paper-based TOEFL, 225 on computer-based TOEFL, or 86 on internet-based TOEFL is required for admission to our school. Test scores are valid for 2 years from the test date. Our institution code is 5988.
