This program is designed to produce psychologists well-trained in scientific methods applied to the industrial/organizational environment. Graduates of the program will be prepared for work in academic, research, and/or applied settings, depending on the objectives of each student. The program features strong preparation in research methodology, statistics, measurement, and general psychology, as well as course work in the broad areas of industrial and organizational psychology. The electives are designed to allow students flexibility in developing their own areas of specialization. Practicum placements also provide students with opportunities to gain research and applied experience in a variety of organizational settings.

Students to be considered for admission must have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution, or the equivalent from an international institution with good academic good standing in the institution last attended. They must have obtained any one of the following scores: a GPA of at least 2.75 on all undergraduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree; a GPA of at least 3.0 on all graduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a graduate degree; or an acceptable GRE scores. Also students whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in English language either with a TOEFL scores of at least 550 on the written test (213 on the computer based test, 79 on the Internet Based Test with 16 in each section) or IELTS scores of at least 6.5.
