This dual degree program offers strong leadership and global management skills that can enhance students’ credentials, increase the marketability, and provide them with a deeper understanding of the global community. It also provides them the leadership skills needed to run a business, but also can help them develop the global mindset needed to succeed and thrive in today’s interconnected world community. It is ideal for those who want to gain the functional skills offered in a traditional MBA, plus in-depth knowledge of the role that management plays in a global economy. For those who have already earned an MBA from an accredited university and want to obtain a second master's degree, the global leadership and management program may be an excellent addition to the resume. It was designed to accommodate busy professionals and offers courses in the evenings, weekends, and online. This type of flexibility allows them to focus on the studies while managing personal and professional schedules. The dual degree can be completed in 51 credit hours of course work. If they already have an MBA, they may complete the GLM program in as few as 18 credit hours, in which they choose six courses from a wide range of electives. Students must have completed a bachelor degree (or equivalent 120 acceptable credit hours) from an accredited or recognized institution. They must have earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work. (Candidates who do not meet this requirement may be provisionally admitted after review of their resume, work experience, and/or personal interview). A GMAT is not required for applicants holding a master's degree or who have been previously admitted to a master level program; or bachelor degree or equivalent who has obtained a minimum GPA of 3.0 for their last sixty hours of undergraduate course work. For applicants with a GPA of less than 3.0, a GMAT or other assessment tool may be required. International students for whom native language is not in English should have obtained 79 on the internet based TOEFL or IELTS with a minimum acceptable score of 6.5.
