This program is designed to accommodate the interests of students who (a) contemplate a career in public service and want to acquire the skills and perspective of the lawyer and the business-oriented manager, (b) contemplate a career in business management and want to acquire the skills and perspective of a lawyer, or (c) contemplate a career as a lawyer specializing in business-related law and want to acquire the skills and perspective of the business-oriented manager. The College of Business Administration and the College of Law offer a coordinated dual program leading to the conferral of both the Doctor of Jurisprudence and the Master of Business Administration. The dual program saves the student approximately 15 hours (one semester) over the time that would be required to earn both degrees independently.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting agency. A foreign degree must be equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree and must be accredited by its regional or national accreditation agency. Applicants must have earned a minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or other equivalent to a 'B' average. If student have completed previous graduate course work, they must have a grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4-point scale or equivalent. GMAT score is required. Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take and pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Passing marks are 550 for paper-based test, 213 for computer-based test or 80 for internet-based test (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in each sub-section. Passing marks for the IELTS are 6.5. Official scores must be received directly from the Educational Testing Service.
