This program is a professional degree program designed to prepare educators to assume teaching and research leadership roles in schools, colleges, universities, and other agencies. It is conceived as an interdisciplinary program; coursework is required in KHP, Education, and in other departments outside the College of Education. Current faculty strength permits a student to concentrate studies on one of the following: Teaching/Coaching/Sport Leadership and Health Promotion. The student will take 9-12 hours of course work in one area. At least six (6) hours will be taken in another area to enhance your future teaching and employment potential.

Students should have a master's degree or 30 semester hours of approved graduate course work with a 3.0 (out of 4.0=A) grade point average; a combined score of 1000 on the verbal and quantitative areas of the Graduate Record Examination (G.R.E.); sample of scholarly writing is to be submitted to the Director of Graduate Studies and TOEFL score of 213 or better is required.
