The Human Resource Development (HRD) master's program at the University of Illinois is designed for individuals currently working in or aspiring to human resource development positions in a variety of organizational sectors. Our HRD students and graduates work for community-based groups, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, healthcare organizations, the military, and non-profit organizations. The program is focused on training and development, organization development, and the use of technology for performance improvement at the individual and organizational levels. Emphasis is placed on human resource development leadership in both domestic and international settings. This program awards a Master of Education (Ed.M.) degree after the completion of ten courses (eight 4-hour courses and two 2-hour courses). Contact for more information.

Applicants with a bachelor's degree or, who have enrolled in the final year of a bachelor's degree, from an accredited college in the United States or a comparable degree from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad are eligible for admission to this University. Other requirements include a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (A=4.0), or comparable GPA for an international applicant; TOEFL scores greater than 102 in iBT, 253 in CBT and 610 in PBT and an IELTS (academic exam) score greater than 6.5.
