This program provides an environment where professional educators can develop specialized expertise in educational leadership with a focus on school administration and instructional supervision and it provides professional educators to bridge from their master’s level academic work to doctoral level study in the specialized area of educational administration and supervision.

The program modules are as follows: EDL 601 Introduction to School Leadership & Administration, EDL 634 Leadership for Human Resources Development in Schools, EDL 650 Leadership for School Program Improvement, EDL 638 The Supervisor of Instruction, EDP 522 Tests and Measurements, EDL 646 Leadership for School Community Relations, EDL 669 Leadership for School Problem Solving, EDL 631 Leadership for School Program Collaboration, EDL 628 School Law and Ethics, And Two of the Following: EDC 616 The Middle School, EDC 712 The Elementary School, EDC 714 The Secondary School, EDC 732 Principles for Curriculum Construction, EDC 724 Guiding and Analyzing Effective Teaching, EDC 605 Instructional Design I, EDS 613 Legal & Parental Issues in School Administration.

Students should have completed master’s degree; qualification for a Kentucky teaching certificate and three years of full-time teaching experience.
