A teacher of special education with an emphasis in emotional behavioral disorders is authorized to provide instruction in kindergarten through grade 12 to students who are experiencing emotional behavioral disordersand to collaborate and consult with families, other classroom and special education teachers, and specialized service providers in designing and implementing individualized education program plans for students.

The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or its equivalent. A minimum scores in Test of English as a Foreign Language 550 Paper-based, 213 Computer-based, 80 Internet- based with a minimum score of 20 for both the writing, and speaking sections of the test School code 6110. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery 80, International English Language Testing System, 6.5 for graduate programs. Master's programs require a bachelor's degree (or the equivalent degree if earned outside the U.S.) for admission. An overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.7 meets minimum requirements, but applicants with lower GPAs will be considered based on their professional experience.Admissions test results. Miller Analogies Test (MAT) score of 55 or 390 (less than five years old), a cumulative Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of 1500 or 420 verbal/550 quantitative/4.0 analytical writing or a GMAT score of 510 preferred.
