The JD/LLM Program is very popular with students who want to gain additional expertise in a specialized area of the law for a relatively small investment of time and money. Current JD students may qualify for entry into the LLM program before graduation. Temple JD students may earn up to half of the credits toward the LLM while still a JD student. The remaining credits required for the LLM degree can then be completed in one additional full-time semester or several part-time semesters in Philadelphia, Tokyo, or at the summer program in Rome, after the student completes the JD requirements. Current Temple JD students who enter the JD/LLM program directly after earning a JD will automatically have up to six credits of international and/or comparative law courses earned in a Temple program applied toward the LLM in Transnational Law. The required course in international law cannot be applied toward the LLM but must be completed during the JD or LLM program. For each additional credit he or she has earned beyond the minimum number of credits required to earn the JD degree, a Temple JD/LLM student can apply one more credit of international and comparative law course work toward the LLM in Transnational Law, up to a maximum of 12 credits.
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता
This is open to those who hold a first degree in law and who wish to concentrate their studies in international and comparative law. Applicants who received their first law degree outside the United States should note that Transnational LL.M. students must complete all their coursework in international and comparative law subjects. Current Juris Doctor students at ABA-accredited law schools, who have completed at least two years of full time law study or its equivalent, may apply to the J.D./LL.M. in Transnational Law. J.D./LL.M. candidates admitted during their J.D. studies will be admitted conditionally pending successful completion of their J.D. degree.

When admitted to the University, students interested in University housing are required to pay a housing deposit. Upon receipt of the deposit, students are sent a housing license that must be completed and returned to University Housing and Residential Life immediately. Requests for specific accessible housing and medically-related accommodations should be made on the license agreement. Students who require housing accommodations should present their written requests as early as possible. If uncertain of particular housing needs, ask professional staff members at DRS and University Housing and Residential Life. Each year, students are required to reapply for University Housing. Students with documented disabilities and other medical needs are offered priority consideration if their condition continues to warrant housing accommodation. Documentation must: be prepared and signed by an objective, qualified professional in the appropriate field of concern who is not a family member; contain the name and license number of that professional; describe current function; be typed on letterhead with callback telephone number; clearly state diagnosis and examples of “substantial limitation of function”; describe the functional limitations that would necessitate special housing accommodations; include suggested housing accommodations; be supported by complete relevant medical history; if appropriate, include the names and scores of testing assessments used to make specific determinations.
