This program with the Cambridge University Faculty of Law. This program offers Harvard JD candidates the opportunity to earn a Cambridge LLM and a Harvard JD in a total of three and a half years. Each year up to six Harvard 2Ls will be selected to spend their 3L year reading for the LLM degree in Cambridge, England. Following the LLM year, they return to HLS for their final JD semester. The competitive admissions process begins with an application through HLS in November and ends with a decision by Cambridge in spring term for matriculation at Michelmas Term that fall. Students must apply separately to both schools, each of which will independently review and admit applicants. Once admitted to both schools, students who want to enroll in the joint degree program need only complete a Declaration of Intent and submit this form to the Vice Dean for Academic Programming at the Law School and to the Registrars at the Law School and the Kennedy School.
