This program is designed to prepare qualified law and public affairs students for careers at any level of government and in public-policy related areas of the private sector or legal profession. The LBJ School of Public Affairs and the School of Law offer a Dual Degree program leading to the degrees of Master of Public Affairs and Doctor of Jurisprudence. Students must complete a minimum of 33 LBJ School credit hours and 70 credit hours at the School of Law, including all the first-year core courses in each school. Degrees are awarded when the required course work in both schools is completed.

Applicant must take the LSAT and have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.2 as calculated by Law School Admission Council. In the event an applicant does not receive a baccalaureate degree prior to enrollment but is within six semester hours of completing all requirements for a baccalaureate degree by the time of enrollment in law school, the applicant may be eligible for admission upon the condition that the applicant earns the baccalaureate degree before beginning the last year of law school.

The Division of Housing and Food Service is dedicated to providing quality food service to the university community. All dining venues are open to anyone who visits campus. It encourages everyone to experience the convenience and variety offered in each of its dining locations. It accept Cash, Bevo Bucks and Dine in Dollars (10%discount) and major credit cards. On-campus housing can hold more than 7,100 students. Jester Center is the largest residence hall with its capacity of 2,945. Academic enrollment exceeds the capacity of on-campus housing; as a result, most students must live in private residence halls, housing cooperatives, apartments, or with Greek organizations and other off-campus residences. The Division of Housing and Food Service, which already has the largest market share of 7,000 of the estimated 27,000 beds in the campus area, plans to expand to 9,000 beds in the near future.
