The JD/MBA program is a joint program offered by the Shidler College of Business and the Richardson School of Law. Graduates of the program will have the tools necessary to pursue careers in the legal and business professions and will be well versed in the issues, skills, and methods in both law and business communities. This joint degree allows students to save both time and money by letting them double count up to nine elective credits.
Shidler College of Business is the only AACSB International accredited institution in Hawaii, so students are guaranteed that their programs satisfy the expectations of a wide range of quality standards relating to strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students in the educational process, and achievement of learning goals in degree programs. There are less than 550 AACSB accredited institutions world wide, and Shidler College of Business is proud to be one of them.

Candidates may apply to more than one program but a complete set of application materials, including all eight items below, must be submitted for each program to which the candidate is applying. GMAT Schedule a testing session for the GMAT via the Web site or by phone in the U.S.A. by calling 1-800-717-GMAT (1-800-717-4628) or 1-952-681-3680. MBA applicants = PBQ-59-09, TOEFL and IELTS:Most applicants whose native language is not English need to submit official scores for either of these tests. Test scores cannot be more than two years old. An international applicant is exempt from the TOEFL, if he or she has earned a bachelor's or advanced degree within the last five years at a regionally accredited or recognized institution in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore or the United Kingdom.

The University housing program provides on-campus housing to Manoa students in a variety of living arrangements that include apartments and traditional coed facilities, single and double occupancy rooms, suites and apartment units. The University housing program strives to create an atmosphere conducive to the development of responsible citizens in a democratic community. Specific rules and regulations intended to protect the rights of individuals have been developed by the University administration, residential staff and student leaders. Each resident is responsible to know and observe these rules and regulations. Residents who cannot accept these basic rules for community living or cannot extend consideration for the rights of other residents should evaluate their needs carefully before applying for on-campus housing. Contract releases are not granted for reasons of dissatisfaction with a group living environment. The 2008-2009 Academic Year contract provides housing for the Fall and Spring semesters with prices for traditional doubles starting at $3,497 and apartments units starting at $4,631. Meal plans are handled by a private provider, Sodexho, with prices starting around $1,151 per semester, or $2,302 for the academic year. All applicants should review the assignment terms and priorities for the 2008-2009 academic year.
