The program is fully integrated over five years, culminating with a dual degree—the M.D. and a master's degree, such as a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Health Care. Unlike many other M.D./M.B.A. programs that are essentially year-out programs, this program begins in the first year and ends in the fifth, although most of the course work for the M.B.A. will be spread over the third, fourth and fifth years. The complete M.D. curriculum will be taught; there will be no compromise on education for either degree. Students participate in a monthly special leadership development program through a series of seminars with M.D./M.P.H. students themed around leadership. School of Medicine, that criteria includes taking the Medical College Admission Test. Undergraduate GPA, academic load, community service, extracurricular activities, an interview and letters of recommendation also will be considered. Submit a certified copy of all university/college records in English, accompanied by official transcripts in the native language; financial statement form; official bank statement; a statement outlining degree objectives; and an official score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (for students from countries where English is not the native language). If the applicant’s native language is not English, a minimum score of 550/213 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. GMAT is required.
