This program provides students who are interested in immunology with a rigorous and flexible program. Students will be given the individual intellectual and technical skills required to become outstanding scientists in the field of immunology. It emphasizes course work and research experience in diverse topics in immunology. These topics include but are not limited to the following: Antigen presentation and recognition; Immune responses to infection; Immune cell trafficking; Signal transduction in the immune system; Diseases and disorders of the immune system. Students will be provided with a supportive and challenging program in which to acquire a strong foundation in the basic principles of the immune system as well as advanced technical skills to address cutting-edge scientific questions.

The modules for first year Core I, Biostatistics, Introduction to Journal Club I, Responsible Conduct of Research, Laboratory Rotation, Dean's Seminar, Core II, Core III Fundamentals in Immunology, Introduction to Journal Club II, Methods in Biomedical Sciences. Modules for second year are Adv. Topics in Immunology, Immunology Journal Club, Immunology Seminar Series, Immunology Work in Progress, Dissertation Research, 3 Credits Elective, Immunology Journal Club, Immunology Seminar Series, Immunology Work in Progress, Dissertation Research. Modules for third and final year are Immunology Journal Club, Immunology Seminar Series, Immunology Work in Progress, Dissertation Research.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Students must submit application form and by submitting the research-oriented MD/PhD online application form. They must have had research experience and should have taken advanced courses in science (e.g., physical chemistry, genetics, biochemistry). The MD/PhD application form is the only written material which must be submitted in addition to the application materials to the Medical School. They must submit 3 letters of recommendation from research advisors and GRE scores. Based on the application materials, a group of highly qualified applicants will be selected for interview.
