The program accepts both full-time and part-time graduate students. Well-qualified full-time students may be able to complete the degree requirements within three semesters. Most part-time students should expect to take two or three years. We strongly suggest that part-time students take no more than two classes per semester. All matriculated students must complete their degree within four years of entering the program. Some graduate courses in economics are also open to non-matriculated students.

A master degree is required for Ph.D. A bachelor degree is required for Masters for admission. TOEFL scores 540 Paper-Based Test (PBT), 207 Computer-Based Test (CBT), 76 Internet-Based Test (IBT) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Overall Band score of 6.5 or higher (if applicable). Acceptable scores for all colleges except the College of Nursing are 550+ on the paper and pencil test, 213+ on the computer test, or 79+ on the Internet-based test. For College of Nursing applicants, the acceptable scores are 600+ on the paper and pencil test, 250+ on the computer test, or 100+ on the Internet-based test. Only Official GRE (or MAT) scores sent or verified by ETS will be accepted.
