This major is offered on the thesis/recital option only, and requires a minimum of 32-36 semester hours (depending on specialization chosen). A minimum of 15 semester hours of 200/6000-level course work is required of all majors.

Students must have graduated from an undergraduate academic program with results equivalent to a 3.00 GPA or above on a 4.00 scale. Students whose first language is not English must have TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 79(iBT) or higher. IELTS are also accepted for graduate admissions.
