This program will prepare the student for a leadership role in a variety of health care settings including schools, home care, occupational health and public health, and community-based agencies. Through scholarly projects, creative partnerships with faculty, clinical experiences, and selection of relevant cognate courses, they have the opportunity to personalize their program of study to meet their individual career goals. They can complete their degree in two, three or four years on a part-time basis depending upon whether they enroll in one or two courses each semester and summer.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE or a Bachelor's degree outside the field of nursing, RN licensure, and completion of BSN competencies. they must also have undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or completion of 6 credits at the graduate level with a minimum GPA of 3.0, current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Connecticut, at least one year of full-time clinical practice, professional goals' statement and resume.
