पाठ्यक्रमबारे सारश
This program is designed to produce graduates with both technical knowledge about the food and fiber industry; and communication skills to make that knowledge accessible to the general public. The graduates will be prepared to use a variety of means (written to broadcast) to inform the public about agricultural information. In addition to courses in the sciences and in the many different areas of agriculture, students can choose from courses such as news and broadcast reporting, feature writing, public relations and photojournalism. Students with a specialization in agricultural communications are currently in demand in the work force. They are finding jobs both within agricultural industry and outside of it. The possible career areas include agricultural information agencies; newspaper writing/editing; magazine feature writing and editing; photography; public relations; graphic arts; advertising; video and television production; radio production; environmental reporting; law. This curriculum allows students to specialize in their content area of interest while giving them a broad background in the agricultural sciences. The result is a field of study that will meet the needs of the individual as well as the prospective employer.
