The professional degree of Master of Architecture with “Advanced Standing” is for students who have already received a previous college degree in a 4-year (pre-professional) architecture major. In most cases, Advanced Standing M.Arch I students enter into Year 2 of the 3.5 year M.Arch I degree program.

Students should hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Applicants whose first language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum TOEFL score is 600 for the paper-based test; 250 for the computer-based test; and 100 for the Internet - based test. Applicants must ask the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send official test results directly to Tulane University. Scores must be no more than two years old.
