This program helps students to learn in a supportive and challenging environment with easy access to faculty and supervisors and experience a well-balanced educational and training program. In this plan, students must complete a minimum of 27 hours in content courses in the major, six credits of electives, and 15 credits of practicum hours for a minimum total of 48 credits. The electives can be approved electives taken in communication sciences and disorders or selected from pre-approved courses outside the department. A comprehensive examination is required.

ComD electives are offered in the spring and summer semesters), ComD 6328 - Cognitive Disorders, Comprehensive Exams, Externship 1, Externship 2, Evidence based reports 3, and Evidence based reports 4 (as needed).

Students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 in the major and in the last 60 hours of course work. Students are strongly recommend that the following background courses must be completed prior to entering the post-bachelor’s program - biological science (e.g., biology, human anatomy), physical science (e.g., physics, chemistry), social science (e.g., psychology, sociology, anthropology), math (e.g., college-level algebra or higher). Students should have secured a minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based) on the test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or overall band score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
