The University of Northern Virginia Master of Business Administration with concentration in management is comprised of fourteen three-credit courses (42 credit hours) and is divided into three groups of courses. The first group, or Cornerstone Courses, provides students with a solid academic foundation upon which the second group, or Core Courses, is built. This second group gives students the necessary knowledge and skills to be effective managers in a marketplace that is increasingly global and technological. The third group, or Concentration Courses, allows students the opportunity to focus on the management concentration topics.

The standard TOEFL scores for admission are 80 iBT (213 CBT; 550 PBT), master’s level. The standard IELTS scores for admission are 6.0, master’s level. Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited U.S. institution of higher education or a comparable foreign institution. Have a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or above or the equivalent. If an applicant’s undergraduate GPA is less than 3.0, of if the applicant does not meet full admissions requirements, approval from the Admissions Committee is needed. If potential graduate students have taken the GMAT or GRE, submitting these scores may enhance the opportunity for admissions. An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or the equivalent from a foreign college or university. An advance deposit of $6,000 is required from all students studying on an F-1 visa. A total of $3,050 will be applied toward co-operative education administrative charges, and a total of $2,950 will be applied toward advance tuition fees or living expenses. Two letters of recommendation from the applicant's professors, employers, or graduate counselors, or other evaluative material accepted by the admissions office at the relevant campus.
