The mission of the Bauer College is to provide leading undergraduate and graduate programs to educate current and future working professionals and business leaders for the city of Houston, the state of Texas, and the world. Undergraduate programs in the Bauer College are day-time programs designed to provide students with a broad-based education that exposes students to a variety of academic disciplines across the campus that are relevant to their roles as future leaders in business and society; a fundamental education in all functional areas of business; an opportunity to develop specialized knowledge and skills by majoring in a single area; and exposure to business law and ethics, and to global and cross-cultural issues through a global studies sequence. University has on campus housing which is maintained by residential life and housing. The residential halls include Moody Towers, Quadrangle, Cougar Place and some privately owned halls are Cullen Oaks and Bayou Oaks. The student housing ranges from traditional single or double dorm rooms to suite-style halls to fully furnished on-campus apartments. All facilities are equipped with up-to-date amenities including cable TV and Ethernet connectivity. Apartment options also have kitchens. Meal plans are flexible and students can choose a weekly or semester meal allowance. The university offers world-class exercise equipment and facilities for an assortment of recreational activities. It is a great place to indulge the senses with a performance or an art exhibit. Stages on campus host dance, musical, and theatrical performances throughout the year. Students have a variety of options for parking on campus. In addition, several Metro bus routes serve the campus. Metro Van Pool services are also available for students who would like to get to know other commuters on the way to school.
