This program is designed for students preparing to pursue employment in health agencies, community, worksite, and healthcare settings. It is also intended for licensed, certified, registered, and accredited allied health professionals who seek careers as educators or educational administrators in settings such as: schools for allied health professionals, colleges, universities, clinical settings and community health agencies. With projected shortages in the health workforce, numerous career opportunities abound. It will typically take two to three years to complete the degree if students are enrolled full-time (nine hours per semester). There are numerous opportunities for graduates in allied health education and administration. Students may choose among the many branches of healthcare. Following are some suggested careers are healthcare educator, healthcare professional, administrator of allied health education programs, healthcare agency researcher and community college instructors.

Students must have earned a four-year baccalaureate degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university, equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree. They must have earned an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 to be unconditionally accepted into the master’s program. Those students with a GPA less than 3.0, but not below 2.6 (A = 4.0) may be admitted conditionally. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper based exam or 213 for the computer-based exam or 79 on the Internet based (iBT) is generally acceptable proof of English proficiency. The minimum required IELTS score for admissions is 6.5 on a scale from 1 to 9.
