The Master of Music in Composition degree is a 30-hour program with advanced study in composition culminating in a Graduate Recital. Instruction is provided by faculty members who are recognized as outstanding performers in a wide variety of performance areas. The Department of Music entrance examinations in music history, music theory, and ear training assist in planning each student’s exact course of study.

Applicants seeking admission to the Master of Music degree program must take the ASU Department of Music entrance examinations in music history and written and aural music theory. For unconditional acceptance applicants must perform a successful audition recital in person for the appropriate faculty prior to initial enrollment. Conditional acceptance may be granted by audio or videotape providing the student performs a successful audition recital in person for the appropriate faculty within the first two weeks of classes. Students should Obtaining a minimum 60% in English at X and XII in Certificate in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Students should have a Notarized or Original Copy of University Diploma or Provisional Graduation Certificate without any conditions stating that Bachelor’s Degree awarded. Official or Notarized Copy of all University Transcripts in English with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (some programs might require higher GPA) Proof of English Proficiency Completing ASU’s ESL Program Minimum grade of 90% or above. TOEFL – Paper-Based 550, TOEFL – Computer-Based 213, TOEFL – Internet-Based 79. IELTS – Academic 6.0.- Official Score from British Council. English as Official Language CIA World Fact Book. Students having Conditional Admission. High School Graduate (minimum 2 years of attendance) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
