This program is intended for individuals with prior experience (paid or volunteer) in a health related field and with a commitment to provide health care in underserved and rural communities. The program consists of seven consecutive semesters over 27 months and includes 75 credit hours of didactic courses and 36 credit hours of clinical rotations for a total of 111 credits. Proposed start term is May 2012. As of September 2010 the proposal for this program has been approved at the University level as well as the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. The next critical step is securing provisional accreditation. This university is optimistic that all components are in place to ensure a successful provisional accreditation site. If the program is not granted provisional accreditation, for any reason, students will not be admitted. If the program gains provisional accreditation and does not obtain full accreditation enrolled students will not be negatively impacted. Provisional accreditation is an active accreditation status; therefore students would be eligible to sit for the PANCE exam.

Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 point scale and at least one undergraduate statistics or research methods course completed with a grade of B or better. International applicants must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based version), 213 (computer-based version), total score 79 - 80 (Internet-based version) or an IELTS score of 6.0 or successful completion of ELS Language Centers Intensive Program Level 112. Students from Japan must have a "Pre-First Grade" score on the STEP Eiken.
