The Department of Residence Life strives to create a community for the residents by planning programs and activities that help students get to know others on their floor and in their residence hall. It also provides services that support the residents in accomplishing their academic and personal goals. Residence Life staff are trained in counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution, as well as interpersonal communications in order to assist the students to achieve their aspirations. Each hall is supervised by a residence director and resident assistants, individuals who maintain close contact with students and who serve as administrators for the buildings.
