This program introduces political, economic, social and cultural factors that influence health care delivery to the many diverse populations throughout our nation, including those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable. The goal of the Health Care Policy specialization is to provide students with: basic understanding of the determinants of population and individual health, organizational structure and financing of the U.S. healthcare delivery system, public policy making process at the federal, state and local level and the main governmental programs and institutions, different potential goals and methods to achieve improved quality, performance, and accountability.

Applicants must have a regionally accredited bachelor's degree or its recognized international equivalent (any major), Those whose native language is not English and who have not completed a U.S. undergraduate or graduate degree must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language and the Test of Written English (TOEFL/TWE). Zicklin will accept any version of the TOEFL (paper based, computer based, internet based), provided it is taken within 2 years of the beginning of the term for which the application is submitted.
