The nursing education concentration prepares nurses to assume leadership roles as dynamic educators in baccalaureate and associate degree programs, staff development, continuing education and community education programs. Nurses who progress from this MSN concentration to the PhD program find their course of study expedited. As they develop as a nursing educator, they will create curricula, plan programs and teach with experts. This concentration also gives them the opportunity to spend time with a nurse educator to begin to internalize the critical educator role.

Students must have completed their bachelors degree for admission into masters degree. Some departments require a GPA of 3.0. The minimum acceptable scores for TOEFL are: paper-based 550, computer-based 213, and internet-based 80. TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the test date.
