This program develops effective teachers who are scholars, skillful communicators, and competent practitioners; integrate theory and practice; facilitates the development in students of the qualities of effective teachers with an emphasis on: critical thinking, clear communication, strong academic understanding, leadership and high ethical standards. The full-time internship degree offers licensure in K-6 or 7-12 subject areas. This track typically takes 12-18 months to complete. Once the 15-hour professional core is complete, they move into a two-semester internship (fall and spring).

International applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by meeting any one of the following: minimum TOEFL score of 550 paper-based test (PBT) or 80 internet-based test (iBT); successful completion of ELS Language Center Level 112. International applicants with college level course work from foreign institutions must have their transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation service such as World Education Services or Joseph Silny and Associates.
