The mission of the Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering at Prairie View A and M (PVAMU) consists of three interrelated components: providing the highest quality instruction to the students, conducting leading-edge research in computer science and engineering, and providing leadership and service to the professional communities. At University, students can have the privacy and lifestyle that they deserve in a freshmen student community that is conducive to achieving academic success. With a great location, private bedroom accommodations, fully furnished units, individual liability leases and extensive community amenities, there is no reason to look anywhere else. Interior features includes the following: regular twin size bed, microwave, refrigerator, cable television service included, mirrored walls and doors, computer desk, housekeeping service, ample closet space, fully furnished units, wireless internet, and disability access. The university has four student housing communities, including apartments for upper classmen and a living and learning community just for freshmen. Students can request two or four bedroom apartments (upper classmen) and the roommate(s) of their choice.
